Refreshing our skills
Posted on:

To help refresh our skills in providing emergency clinical care, staff at the Practice took part in a Basic Life Support training session this week. Through simulations and workshops, we practiced providing treatment for various clinical scenarios including choking, allergic reactions, and cardiac arrest.
The Practice is committed to ensuring care is provided in a safe and timely manner. Ensuring staff have up-to-date life saving emergency skills is one small part of this commitment.
There are around 30,000 cardiac arrests each year which happen outside of hospital. The team @188 are well equipped to deal with such emergencies and ensure the best possible outcome for our patients.
