What is total triage?
We’ve been operating a total triage system since 1 April 2025. Do you know what this means?
You can contact us in three ways – online using eConsult, by phone, or by walking into the practice. All three of these are available throughout our opening hours (Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm).
When you contact us, you will be asked for details about what you need help with. This information will be recorded securely and one of our senior GPs will triage your request.
Following triage, we will contact you with the outcome – this may be an appointment with one of our clinical staff, signposting to another local service, or we might even be able to sort your problem without an appointment.
All requests we receive are now triaged by senior clinicians. This means we are able to see patients in order of clinical priority, not first-come-first-served, and can ensure everyone receives appropriate support in a timely manner.
