Can I get weight loss injections?

We know lots of our patients are excited about the possibility of getting weight loss medications – Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) and Semaglutide (Wegovy®) – on the NHS.

The NHS is implementing these drugs in a phased manner. This means we cannot currently prescribe them for weight loss alone. In the first instance, supplies are being prioritised for people with multiple other health conditions which place them at higher risk of complications from obesity.

These medications are never a replacement for living a healthy lifestyle, which includes eating well and exercising.
