NHS Vaccines Save Lives

Working with Barnet Primary Care Network (PCN) 6, we have been spearheading neighbourhood working by collaborating with colleagues from Public Health at Barnet Council and VCFSEs, including Groundwork London and Maccabi GB, to promote childhood vaccination uptake in the community.
Our first event saw healthcare professionals from the PCN host a stall at a community fun run, where we engaged with local residents and distributed information packs on childhood immunisations. These conversations opened up opportunities to speak with hesitant parents about the benefits of vaccination, encouraging them to contact their GP to book an appointment.
Following the positive response, we plan to organise further outreach activities to make vaccination services more accessible.
This approach demonstrates how collaborative, community-focused strategies can improve public health outcomes by breaking down barriers and strengthening relationships between healthcare providers and local residents.
If your child isn’t up-to-date with their immunisations, please contact us today to discuss.
